Zechariah - Perseverance in prayer
Today more than ever before we see worship leaders, singers, and musicians flooding into prayer rooms all over the earth who feel the stirring within their hearts to minister before the Lord alone and count everything else as loss. Over time however the zeal that was there at the beginning of their journey wears off as discouragement, apathy, and the cares of this life assault those commissioned by the Lord to stand in the place of occupational prayer.
In 520BC the Lord raised up Zechariah to strengthen the downcast intercessors and worshippers who were laboring to establish the Temple. God has spoken clearly through the Prophet Zechariah and given much prophetic insight into His heart which is necessary for us to sustain our hearts long term in the house of prayer.
